Authorities recently arrested actor and comedian Chris Kattan for drunk driving in Encino. CBS Los Angeles reports that the 43-year-old “Saturday Night Live” actor crashed into a maintenance truck on the 101 Freeway in San Fernando Valley.
Witnesses called police before the crash and reported a Mercedes weaving on the highway at slow speeds around 2 a.m. on Monday morning. No injuries were reported in the crash and the actor took to Twitter, dismissing claims that he was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
“Those concerned or just adding gossip: I’m fine, passed all tests, released without bail, have a driver’s license, cop offered to drive me home,” the actor wrote.
Kattan is a California native and is best known for his roles in Saturday Night Live, A Night at the Roxbury, and the TV show “The Middle.”
Celebrity Gossip site TMZ reported that the actor was under the influence of drugs, and not alcohol. No one was in the Department of Transportation vehicle at the time of the accident.
