GBW's trial team represented a worker who fell more than 30 feet through a skylight on the roof of a mattress warehouse. The plaintiff suffered a traumatic brain injury and severe orthopedic injuries. The case went to trial and settled shortly before a verdict. Attorneys argued the defendants negligently maintained a skylight on its property by failing to install a metal safety cage that could have prevented the plaintiff from falling through the skylight. This webinar will offer insight into litigating cases involving unprotected skylights and how this safety lapse presents an unreasonable and foreseeable danger to workers. Also, the webinar will offer insight on how to navigate the ins and outs of the Privette line of cases in worksite injury claims.
