GBW Promotes Two Rising Stars to Partner, Taylor Rayfield and Molly McKibben
Santa Monica, CA (Jan. 22, 2020)— The powerhouse plaintiff’s firm, Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP is proud to announce the promotion of two outstanding lawyers to partner.
Taylor Rayfield has earned recognition for obtaining many verdicts and settlements for clients who have suffered tremendous losses due to product liability, catastrophic personal injury, sex abuse, wrongful death, business torts, and legal malpractice.
“Taylor is a fierce competitor in the courtroom and an empathetic advocate for her clients”, said partner Bruce Broillet. “We are thrilled to add her to our leadership team.”
Consumer Attorneys of California named Taylor Street Fighter of The Year in 2018 for obtaining a $1.75 million settlement for a student-athlete who was sexually abused by a Torrance High School wrestling coach. In that case, Taylor’s efforts secured an important benchmark for nearly 30 other sex abuse victims who had lawsuits against the same defendants.
Most recently, Taylor secured a $3.5 million settlement in a burn injury case on behalf of a 15-year-old student who sued the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District and a teacher after she suffered severe injuries on a school field trip.
Molly McKibben has received praise for her compassionate and tenacious lawyering skills which have led to successfully resolving catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and products liability matters on behalf of consumers.
McKibben obtained a confidential seven-figure settlement in a tragic wrongful death lawsuit involving a 3-year-old child. Molly represented the girl’s parents who sued a hotel’s owners and management company for the dangerous condition of the hotel which resulted in the child slipping through a railing and falling to her death. As a key member of the trial team, Molly recently obtained a $1.15 million jury verdict on behalf of a woman who required spinal surgery after a limo driver pulled in front of her vehicle during rush hour traffic.
Molly was named CAOC’s Consumer Attorney of the Year in 2016 along with three of her colleagues for her involvement in obtaining a $55,000,000 verdict in the Erin Andrews v. Marriott case in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Molly is an enormous asset to our firm. I’m consistently impressed by her poise, tenacity and determination while handing some of our most challenging cases,” said Tim Wheeler.
Both Rayfield and McKibben have made the list of Southern California Rising Star several years in a row, and have been named to the organization’s Top 100 List, as well as its list of Top 50 Women lawyers.
