HGTV Reacts to Bill Beckwith Motorcycle Crash Death

Cable network HGTV has responded to reports that one of its popular TV show hosts was recently killed a California car accident. Paul Beckwith was one of the three co-hosts of “Curb Appeal,” one of the network’s home renovation shows.

Authorities in San Francisco say that the TV star was killed last Monday when his motorcycle was hit by a 30-year-old driver. The accident occurred in that city’s Lower Haight neighborhood. The driver involved was reported to be cooperating with police officers investigating the crash, Fox News reports.

It is unclear what exactly caused the crash, but it does shed light on the problem of motorcycle accidents on California roads. Motorcycle accidents kill hundreds across the state every year and injure countless more. The most common contributing factors to California motorcycle accidents include driver inattention, intoxication, and speed.

Beckwith was a 38-year-old TV star originally from Maine. He ran a construction company in San Francisco and renovated homes throughout the Bay Area.
